Making earrings – main principle of work

Example – step by step.

Required materials:
a pair of hooks
a pair of beads (2 pieces)
a pair of Jeweller’s nails (2 pieces)

It is good to add the additional metal ‘flakes’ and small metal balls. They give a more finished look to the article. The former stop the nail head from passing through the opening while the latter stabilise it to stay motionless (not to be loose).

The required tools are bird beak pliers, where those with a round section are preferable (they allow making a well-shaped curve). If the nail is too long, it is possible to use cutters (chisels).
The beads are strung on the nail.
Leave a reserve of 8 mm after the metal ball.
Make a loop (an “eye”).
The pendants are hung on the hooks.
The earrings are ready.
